Edward Dorty is the grandson of Jerry Williams and Milly Dorty, and the son of Lilly Young who married Louis Dorty one of Milly and Jerry's 10 children. Edward Dorty was born February 18, 1908,  he married Queen Ester (surname unknown) and had nine children. He died on March 9, 1989, and his children are;

1. Joe Louis who had six children; Kenmon, Joe Junior, Kathreen, Erin, Lisa and Patricia .

2. Earl who had three children; Phyliss Ann Dorty, Graham, and Earl Dorty II .

3. Ethel Dorty Turner had three children; Lisa Turner, Dwain Turner and Darron Turner.

4. Roy Hubert had seventeen children many named Roy.

5.Lilly married Mack Johnson and had eight children; Michael, Donald, Ronald, Cleveland, Mack, Maxine, Sharon and Debra.

6. Vera had no children.

7. Charles had four children. Felicia, Charles, Cedric and Tamala,
8. Linda Louise Dorty Johnson had two children Denice Johnson Curry and Antoinett,

9. Henry had eleven children; Henry Junior, Joshua Lover, Brandy Dorty, Lis Dorty, Demister Dorty, Ester Willis, Henry Dorty, Darius Dorty, Zantry Dorty, Damius Dorty and Sonny Boy Dorty.
